Season Premiere!

Well, after a long summer spent wondering about the fate of our hapless castaways, the season premiere was finally aired last night.  All of our questions would at last be answered, issues would be resolved, and fates would be revealed!  Then I watched it and remembered, oh ya, this is Lost.  NOTHING HAPPENED.   I mean nada, zip, zero.  The episode started and we see Jack, Sawyer and Kate are locked up.  The episode ended and Jack, Sawyer and Kate are locked up.  We saw Jack and Sawyer get angry, and Kate looking forlorn and confused.  But then again, we have seen that for 2 seasons now.
Oh wait, but we did get another Jake flashback, and found out about his divorce and problems with his dad – oh, but we already knew that from last season.

How long will they string the audience along giving them table scraps, instead of a full meal once in a while?   Are they so lacking in new ideas that they need to drag out events and storylines started 2 seasons ago?  Stay tuned and find out!

Why Lost sucked last night: Reason #6 New Characters: There’s going to be whales or dolphins on the show -that’ll probably fight with the Dharma Sharks…then the show will be good again…

the LOST premiere SUCKED. I am extremely tired of Matthew Fox crying. I actually mouthed his lines when talking about his ex wife because I knew what he was going to say!!! “Is she…is she happy?” OH PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK. What a sad piece of crap. I am pissed. If ep 2 isn’t any good I’m quitting my long streak of LOST addiction cold turkey and joining the Why Lost Sucks club.

As a result of shaking my head in disbelief for 50 minutes, I now have borderline whiplash. When, oh when, am I going to realize that this show is never, ever going to answer any questions?! I’ll probably tune in next week just to not find out the answer …

I just watched the 10/11 episode and again nothing. The writers are lost, the producers are lost, and I lost an hour. I would rather be at work.

Lost is such a BUMMER for what everyone builds it up to be.

Four of my closest friends LOVE that show and have asked me to watch it with them. Every time I do, I get the dismal feeling that NOTHING is actually happening in this show, and it is just a bunch of boring, over-dramatic vignettes strung together. Then, to make it interesting, they set it on a tropical island so that 300 million Americans can safely and easily relate it to another boring, pointless show - Survivor.

I might be ignorant but since I was made to watch it the first time (which admittedly was not the FIRST episode that EVERYONE JUST HAS to see in order to GET IT!) I’ve yet to see anything interesting, thought-provoking or intellect-stimulating occur that would entice me to find that first episode and perform my first injection of Lost, complete with a cooking spoon and tourniquet, and join thousands of Lost addicts.

This show has developed an elite clique of quazi-intellectuals amongst it’s viewers and this is what frosts my fern the most, because no matter what amount of curiosity you express about the show, they all say the same, uninformative thing, “Oh, well YOU have to see the VERY FIRST ONE to REALLY know what’s going on”. That’s just like when you ask your girlfriend where she got her handbag from and she selfishly replies, for fear that you might COPY her, “In L.A.”

God this show sucks.

I’ll tell you what show I DO like, though - M*A*S*H! That show was dramatic, funny, applied to life, 11 seasons long and had amazing writers, and yet EVERYONE, but I, HATES M*A*S*H.

TV is such shit. Let’s go out and ride bicycles, right now!

Jen,

Can you take over writing this blog for me? Seriously, that was the best comment ever on this board. Great stuff! I’d go ride with you anytime.

lost is dead. the producers and writers have proven themselves losers. worthless. why would anyone bet any money on these idiots again? they played abc like a cheap whore. Abc should be humiliated and embarrassed by these producers and writers. they had nothing and they played the network for every penny they could get. well, you get what you deserve, ABC. This show is a lost cause, and you are all to blame. may you all lose your jobs. SOON. Let’s get some shows that actually entertain.
