I must say I was very dissapointed. Lost does suck and when I did a google search to express how I feel about the show, I conveniently stumbled across this site. Apparently I'm not alone :) The show desperately tries to focus on human interactions and random flashbacks as if they are integral to the plot. It's not. They are boring and pointless to watch and I hope everyone dies so I don't have to fast forward them anymore. A plane just crashed on an island which apparently has abandoned facilities, hostile enemies, and a smoke monster but the show focuses more towards character backgrounds as if they were the most interesting story arcs ever made. The bottom line, the show has way too many fillers and the overall plotline (which is full of glaring holes) moves slower than a turtle. It took 3 seasons for them to establish the following: 1. Rescue is a bitch 2. The island is "mysterious" 3. There's other people 4. There's a monster I mean shit. You could have made 1 season good instead of making 3 seasons shitty if the pacing was a bit faster. Obviously you need drama so of course there's a 95% chance any given survivor or inhabitant is a major douchebag. It gets a little better when it shows people dying to random events but again, it loses points when the show desperately keeps certain characters alive just to drag it out. I'll give you an example. Ben gives order to kill 3 hostages. Like a PG-13 cliche, It doesn't happen. Hugo apparently drives a car out of the jungle straight into an armed man that happens to miss all 6 shots at a stationary fatass and ends up being hit by the car. Brilliant! A gun just happens to drop right next to sawyer....SURE THING BOB! This is the kind of storyline you're looking at whenever there's a development in the plot and I'm sorry but it sucks. I thought lost was supposed to have a raw and intense storyline with a sci-fi background but it turned out to be just a another family show. But I guess if you can accept electromagnetic waves that turn the sky red and smoke monsters that kill people, you'll at least have 50% of the capacity needed to be a lost fan. Get it? "lost" fan?
