I thought the most ironic quote of the show was when Ben tells Locke, “here we are again in the same place and you are more lost than ever”. That pretty much sums up the show, as well as all of us as viewers after 4 seasons. But this episode was all about Kate – and her lack of any semblance of intelligent thought or action. It took her all of 5 seconds to do exactly what the Bruce Lee guy wanted her to do. Oh you want to go see Ben so you can tell me something about myself? Sure, let’s go. I don’t know about you, but I could think of a lot better answers to get out of the dude than, who am I? The soap operatic love triangle angle is pretty much unbearable at this point. The final clincher with the baby was pretty much telegraphed with the clothesline scene. Just more mid-season filler. Overall a pretty sloppy episode that I give a 7 out of 10 on the new suck-o-meter. (10 being the worst episode ever, 1 being some of the decent season 1 episodes)

Wow, I can’t belive they finally explained what the smoke monster and the 4 toed statue meant!! Actually I missed the episode tonight - got home from the pub too late. I’lll have to catch it online tomorrow. Until then, did I miss anything?

You know kids, I am really at a loss for words at this point. Tonight’s episode has proven this show is so far off the map that it’s just laughable. The show has about 150 major loose ends and unresolved plot themes, yet what do they do? Hey, how about introducing 4 new characters!!!! YEAH! Then flashbacks for all of them! Woohoo! Let’s just keep dropping people on the island right up until the final episode. Sounds like a great plan to me. I’m done. I don’t think I can take 6 more episodes of this. Oh and one more thing. Enough with the shooting people then having them live! What’s the point? To kill time? First Locke gets shot, but he’s ok. Passed right on through, good thing there’s no kidney there (wink, wink). Then the new rescuer chick is shot. Lucky she had that bullet proof vest! (nudge, nudge). It’s really pathetic episode filler.

From the first 5 seconds I knew we were screwed this season. Hurley’s car crashing through a fruit stand? I was sure the next scene would be the 2 guys carrying the plate glass window across the street. Not only were we screwed by that, but now we go directly into flash forwards. As if the flash backs for the last 3 years didn’t suck enough. Hey here’s an idea, let’s find out what’s actually happening now.
It’s amazing how fast the show settled back into its’ previous vices. Various parties of people trekking through the jungle to nowhere, people that die but don’t really die, bad dialogue, long stares, shaky camera work. And of course NOTHING HAPPENING. I really thought with this compressed 8 episode season things were going to start really rocking. Guess I was wrong again. And no, they aren’t going to get me to watch some new gay TV series by promising a fake Oceanic commercial.

It’s baaaack. In just 22 short days, we will all be tuning in to another season of Lost, and another season of saying - WTF??? It has really been so long, I can hardly remember what happened or where we left off. Seriously, all I can remember is something about a bridge, a nirvana song, and flash forward (or was it backward). Who knows. The biggest question in my mind though, is will the regulars come back? No, not Kate or Sawyer or the dreamy doctor. I’m talking about Nico, Stickman, TheLostskeptic, Preevyet, Evil, Turkey and all the rest. I hope everyone finds their way back so we can get this party started again!

Well it’s the off season, so to speak, so here is the place to post all your random thoughts until we crank back up for season 4. I won’t be around much so I’ll leave it up to you all to police yourselves like good boys and girls. Try to keep some semblance of order if you can…

So the season finale was a bit of a mixed bag for my tastes. I’d give it a 6.5 out of 10. There were definitely some good points, but a lot of dumb stuff too. Here’s the good and bad according to me.
Jack is even more of a whiney bitch than we thought. OK we get the whole “fallen hero theme”. We actually got it in season 1.
Jin can’t shoot for shit.
Bernard sucks. A 12 year old girl can keep a secret better than him.
Wouldn’t it have been easier to cut the power cable to the underwater hatch, thus turning off the signal jamming? Hmmmmm.
Ben’s treasure map may have been the gayest thing ever.
God Damn! Walt grew about 2 feet in the 8 weeks that have supposedly passed since he left. He looked like he was ready to try out for the NBA.
Scentless Apprentice kicked ass. Absolutely the best song placement of the show so far.
How can you drive a van through a jungle with no road? It’s a VW bus, not a Hummer for crying out loud.
Sayid snapping that guys neck with his feet, then sawyer killing Tom was sweet. Finally, something happened. Big points for that scene.
Wouldn’t it have been better for Charlie to go outside of the little room to shut the door. What was the point of locking himself in there to get flooded. Seems like he could have saved Des just as easily on the other side of the door. And by the way, why the hell won’t patchy die already? That dude is like an unflushable turd.
Finally the ending. So the whole flashback was a flash forward. That’s the big cliffhanger? Wow, talk about a serious let down. So Kate and Jack get off the island, but what’s to say it was from the time with the phone and not 2 seasons from now. That’s the problem with a flash forward. Is everyone going to start having flash forwards now? So will Jack somehow come to his senses and try to stop the rescue? Who the hell knows, who cares? I thought it would be a tough wait with some huge event happening for the cliffhanger, but with this lame twist it will be a piece of cake. School’s out for summer!

Here are my weekly musings on the latest episode. Thank God there is only one left.
At the beginning, how about Jack just tells them they have dynamite. It is really necessary to blow up an innocent tree and waste a bunch of explosives? I mean, would everyone not have understood the plan without blowing up the tree? It seems relatively straightforward without the visual aid.
Flashbacks of flashbacks. Why did we need to see that idiot Carl push the boat out 2x in the same episode? Filler, plain and simple.
Charlie has a threesome with 2 groupies and it doesn’t make the top 5 list? Come on, that has to top getting a ring from his bro! Speaking of the ring, nice tie in with Lord of the Rings hobbit boy.
Didn’t anyone on the island see the Mythbusters episode that proves your can’t set off an explosion by shooting the explosive? Maybe they could just back up the VW to the tents then shoot the gas tank while they are at it.
Sorry to get technical again, but a radio signal can’t “jam” a satellite phone signal. Please.
Why didn’t Charlie just ask Des if he could make the swim down to the station, rather than cracking him over the head with a paddle? That seems a bit extreme to me. And further on that subject, isn’t easier to swim if you aren’t wearing jeans?

Woohoo! Something was finally revealed. The biggest mystery of the season is now solved. We know where the VW with beer came from!!! I really could care less about the smoke monster now that this major loose end has been tied up.
As far as the “Evil Dead” cabin scene with the invisible man. I literally was laughing so hard during this scene I missed some of it. But I’m glad that they are going towards more of a comedy type feel to the show. I think it really works.
And finally, if anyone thinks Locke really died, you haven’t been watching Lost very long have you?

Sorry to be a loser again, but a little thing called life got in the way of me watching the show tonight. I will watch it online tomorrow so I can join in the discussion. Until then post away guys and gals.
